Artist statement
I am an interdisciplinary artist whose practice centers on bridging the dream world with reality. Through dream analysis, I discover characters whom I then place into our everyday life — each acquiring its own distinct visual language. Among my characters are the angel Seraphim Mikhalych, the Beast, the Creatures, the Knight, Green George, the Daisies, the Sailor, and the Clouds. A crucial aspect of my artistic inquiry is the desire to access an experience of the Other — an existence distinct from habitual routine and sameness. I also frequently engage in collective practices, which deepen my exploration of the dream world and enable the creation of new anomalous spaces.
