The print combines emerald foliage, the first snow and the creatures — frequent heroes of Serafima`s artworks. They resemble fallen fruits that will appear and open in a new way in spring.
Serafima Sazhina, the artist: “I have always been fascinated by the change of seasons, when the first snow is falling, and green leaves are still on the bushes or trees. In this contact of different states of nature, it feels like time stops and the world is perceived differently. And vice versa, frozen dark green grass is usually visible under the melted snow, which, having overwintered, is ready to bloom further.”
Ekaterina Kozlova, the Intro founder: “We are releasing scarves right at the beginning of winter. It is usually the time of pre- New Year rush, but Serafima’s print is more likely about slowing down and contemplating. We want to stop ourselves, take a moment, without looking back at the past and making plans for the future. We should learn from nature: it’s worth taking a break so that something new is born.”
